Bible Reading Resources

Here are a few suggestions for improving your Bible meditation practices. As an evangelical church we believe the Bible to be God’s actual word to us. It is a life-giving act of grace that the Almighty God should choose to reveal himself to us.

With that in mind, here are a few thoughts:

  • For most of us, a regular time works best. Find it!
  • Find a book that interests you. Reading through the Bible each year is a noble ideal, but not if you lose interest and stop at Leviticus. Be realistic. If it means you read the book of John several times over, that’s great. You’ll never exhaust the riches of that book anyway.
  • Find somebody you can study with. Maybe you come together every week and discuss what you’ve been reading. (Hebrews 10:25)
  • If you want to go deeper and are looking for additional resources, we’d be thrilled to recommend something. Ask us!
